Shop Vinyl and CDs and complete your collection. This extremely low-priced sampler was my first introduction to Dub-music: reggae-vibes, reverb & delay, weird FX & a whole lot of ganja! As is often the case with this kind of releases, it offers all the big names (Israel Vibration, Lee 'Scratch' Perry, King Tubby & Augustus Pablo) but never their best tracks. The main exception here is Black Uhuru's "Shine Eye Dub", a true classic. For me the biggest discovery was Horace Andy, who I only knew from his work with Massive Attack.
The Golden Age of Grotesque is the fifth studio album by American rock band Marilyn Manson. It was released on May 7, 2003 by Nothing and Interscope Records, and was their first album to feature former KMFDM member Tim Sköld, who joined after longtime bassist Twiggy Ramirez amicably left the group over creative differences.
Info for The Golden Age. Debut album from Grammy Award nominated French director, producer and designer Yoann Lemoine, AKA Woodkid. Includes the singles Iron, Run Boy Run and I Love You all of which have critically acclaimed videos. It's beyond cliche to call sweeping, orchestral music "filmic," but in the case of music video director Yoann Lemoine's debut album as Woodkid, The Golden Age, the term fits.
The Silent Age of Animation was a period of animation that lasted from the 1900s through the 1920s. These productions were generally very low cost, and were viewed as a novelty. Animation in the United States would not achieve true mainstream status until the late 1920s with the advent of sound in animation, as well as the introduction of many recognizable, mascot characters that the audience could form an attachment to. The first cartoon to ever feature sound, including character dialogue and a musical score, was Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks’ "Steamboat Willie" in 1928. While Walt Disney is well established as the dominant animation studio during the Golden Age, they did have competition from various other studios. These included Hanna-Barbera, the creators of "Tom & Jerry," and the "Looney Tunes," who were created primarily by Tex Avery.
Golden Age of American Rock 'n' Roll, Vol. 4 is another reliably well-packaged collection of major and minor pre-Beatles rock hits. the classic R&B/jump rocker "Linda Lu"). The further the series goes,.
The era called the Elizabethan England was a time of many developments and was considered as the Golden Age in English history. This era was led by Queen Elizabeth I, the sixth and the last ruler of Tudor. The great developments and advancements that happened during this time can be partly attributed to the leadership of the Queen. For many, Queen Elizabeth I was England’s best monarch. Many considered the Queen as a wise and just Queen and chose the right advisers and never let herself get dominated by these advisers. She ruled the era for 45 fruitful years. It made a significant contribution to the history of England and indeed to that of the world. Its legacy in terms of the arts and literature still carries on.
