Ha!-Ha!-Ha! is the second album by British pop group Ultravox, at that time known as "Ultravox!", with an exclamation mark, as a nod to Neu!. Although the group would later achieve fame and commercial success with lead singer Midge Ure the band was, in 1977, led by singer/songwriter John Foxx who was accompanied by guitarist Stevie Shears, drummer Warren Cann, bassist Chris Cross and keyboard/violinist Billy Currie.

Ha! is a bruising album, a tsunami of a set that epitomized the fire and fury of its age. Icy to its core, producer Steve Lillywhite brilliantly captured both the band's urgency and the brittleness of their sound. Much of the set seems frozen in this moment in time and space, lyrically reflected in "Hiroshima Mon Amour," "Man Who Dies Every Day," and "Frozen Ones.

The first album, co-produced by an impressive line-up of Brian Eno (Foxx had loved Another Green World), Steve Lillywhite and the band, is clearly a product of a diet of literate Bowie and glam with a minor strain of punk aggression. Photos from the time – and remember that even supreme sultans of suave Japan went through the awkward wardrobe years - show five young men not quite sure whether to dress glam or punk. The sneer of the latter feels a little glued on, as if they knew they were supposed to be more angry, less poetically reflective. By the second album – produced by Lillywhite and.
