Julie Is Her Name, Volume II is an LP album by Julie London, released by Liberty Records on August 1, 1958, under catalog numbers LRP-3100 (monaural) and LST-7100 (stereophonic). The musical personnel on the recording include Howard Roberts on guitar and Red Mitchell on bass. The album was reissued, combined with the 1955 Julie London album Julie Is Her Name, in compact disc format, by EMI in 1992. Julie Is Her Name, Volume II on Rate Your Music site.

The album Julie is her name vol. II also is a great record, Julie now is accompanied of Howard Roberts, a guitarist of great caliber, skills and very vigorous and a bass player with much balance, Red Mitchell. There are sublime interpretations of the classic romantic standard "Blue Moon", "Spring is here", "Too good to be true", "If I'm Lucky", "Hot today", "Little White lies" and many others stunning songs of cool jazz itself. Julie is just one fine Jazz artist, and she doesn't look bad either. I mean she is probably 80 or more now, lol Check her out. I have many of her CD's and those of other past Legends. If you think old music is not good, Well let me allow you in on a secret.

For a time, Julie London was as famous for her sexy album covers as for her singing. Her debut is her best, a set of fairly basic interpretations of standards in which she is accompanied tastefully by guitarist Barney Kessel and bassist Ray Leatherwood. Cry Me a River" from this album, was her biggest hit, and her breathy versions of such numbers as "I Should Care," "Say It Isn't So," "Easy Street," and "Gone with the Wind" are quite haunting.
