is the second solo album by Jeff Rosenstock. It was released by SideOneDummy Records on October 14, 2016. The album addresses themes including urban gentrification, economic inequality and police brutality in the United States. Its structure has been compared to both Abbey Road and Short Music for Short People. The album was recorded in April and May 2016 at a house in Stinson Beach, California. Much of the album was written shortly after the band's gear was stolen while on tour in 2015.
An album so concise, detailed, conceptual, and just plain enjoyable. This is the kind of album that musicians could spend years on as their sole project and get it about half as right as Jeff does here. Worry opens with the Beatles-esque ballad We Begged 2 Explode, which perfectly bridges 2014’s We Cool" and this record. The song captures We Cool"’s worry of growing old, but not necessarily growing up. Losing touch with everyone who you cared about who sold out. The stunning thing is this track sums it all up better than the majority of the songs on that album
Jeff put out 3 singles for WORRY; Festival Song, Wave Goodnight to Me, and Planet Luxury. The second half of this record is crazy, it starts off with Bang on the Door then goes thru a few punk and ska songs, then the song HELLHOOOOLE starts up and goes back to back with the last 4 songs on the record, hearing it live was indescribable

by Jeff Rosenstock released in 2016 via SideOneDummy. Jeff Rosenstock 2016 LP "Worry" gives out perhaps my favourite pop-punk record in recent memory. I love this record of not only how the songs go one another through the track-list but some fantastic song/writing and flat out banger tunes. 4. 1y. Atrocityblubber. 80. So this album was a really good album the energy was great but i feel like the album a times could feel overwhelming with this guys voice well at least to me. 2.

Jeff Rosenstock's 'WORRY. is a daring accomplishment in punk music that questions everything and never backs down. is a prime example of the album as a means of making a statement, one of the most fully-realized concept records in recent memory, and one of the best albums of 2016. opens with We Begged 2 Explode, a power ballad reminiscent of Billy Joel that might come off as parody if Jeff wasn’t so goddamn good at writing a song. Rosenstock croons over piano chords, slide guitar, and saxophone while introducing a split narrative that ultimately summarizes the thematic elements of the record. In the first verse, Jeff recalls a memory of his friend Laura (Stevenson, perhaps?) warning of the.
Jeff Rosenstock comes with some built-in barriers. He sings in a nasal bleat that, when he’s really excited, turns into a strangulated squawk. He packs his songs with dinky drum machines and chintzy synths that whiz off in every direction. His gang-chant sing-alongs belong within the pop-punk tradition, but sometimes, they sound like cheap versions of Broadway musicals. He packs lots and lots of words into his songs, and those words plainly hint at big and messy ideas, at a kind of cleverness that can be relentless and oppressive.
