The five-piece group worked together with producer D. Sardy (Red Hot Chili Peppers) to record their second album Imprint. In the new wave of American heavy metal they recorded one of their best albums. With the terrific vocals of Tim Williams, alternating between clean singing and screaming, and the trashy riffs the album gets an aggressive look. But there are also plenty of melodic parts in which they shows their versatility

In 1996, after signing a deal with Roadrunner Records’ underground hardcore label Supersoul, VOD would release their self-titled debut full-length. If anyone cares, one shall say that it is a masterpiece on its own, surprisingly aggressive and with a strong socio-political underlying message on most songs  . Top 5 tracks of the album: 5. Clone 4. Imprint 3. Colorblind 2. By the River 1. Locust of the Dead Earth.

Not sure if this is a subpar pressing run or I just got an inferior copy. I will say that the sound is 'OK'...but this album lends itself to a wide margin of error, as far as sound quality and vinyl pressing goes! Loud, aggressive, guitar driven...you ain't gonna be chilling, waiting to hear the quiet parts here. But my copy has what is either a 'smoothed out skip' or a recording flaw about 30 seconds into "Colorblind" ( track 6 on side A). The vinyl is also warped. Not enough that it impacts how it plays, but it is visible when you watch the record spin.EDIT: While this is a loud, driven, aggressive record...there are points where the dynamic change gives way to what a bad pressing this is. Maybe it's just my copy...hopefully it is only my copy. For me, the biggest point of notice on the inferior sound quality comes at the end of the record, on "Jada Bloom"...the ending sounds like utter muddled crap!
