Bierfest! is a collection of German drinking anthems that celebrate the healing power of beer. Each song is exactly what would be expected: tubas, sing-along choruses, and lots of polka rhythms. The only complaint is that some of the tracks here are a little slow and dull to be enjoyed in an Oktoberfest situation, although their overt sentimentality is obviously meant to be just as much of a tribute to beer as the polkas. Either way, this makes for excellent drinking music and should fill the "German drinking song" void in any CD collection.
