He was bred in Maryland by Mrs. Raymond A. Van Clief. Social Outcast was owned and named by Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt J. who often played with the names of the sire and dam to provide a name for his horse. Thus, a mating of Shut Out and Pansy produced Social Outcast.

From Maximum RockRock'n'Roll #114 Nov. 1992 by Suzanne Bartchy Michigan's pride and joy: Their most politically aware, punkasfuck band. This is quite a debut, 2 EP's, one red, one yellow of raw, unpolished, early-to-mid 80's slow and heavy punk ragedness. Ahh, and a sense of humor too, their theme song is a right-on poke at "stenchcore". Some thought-provoking "Planet of the Apes" sampling added in that seems to be popping up everywhere this month. Great packaging, sincere...You need to own this. (SB)
