Fitz of Depression is a group of hardcore/punkers from Olympia, WA. The trio, consisting of Mikey Dees, Craig Becker, and Justin Warren, bowed with a self-titled EP in 1989. Oddly enough, despite their fast, aggressive style the band has an affinity for new wave covers, having releasing guitar-drenched versions of Tommy Tutone's "867-5309/Jenny"; Elvis Costello's "Red Shoes," "Miracle Man," and "Welcome to the Working Week"; and even Joe Jackson's "I'm the Man" during their career. Pigs Are People Too followed that same year while the Swing album emerged in 1996. In 1996, the group also contributed a not-so-silent version of "Silent Night" to the Hardcore Holiday compilation (on Essential Noise Records).
