2006 Opax Records, My Cat Is An Alien. Track 1 recorded live at Tonic, New York City, December 14, 2003. Mastered at Media Noise, Brooklyn. Splitt between Christian Marclay & Okkyung Lee for a piece of 20 minutes on one side and 2 pieces of the Milanese brothers for 56 minutes in the others side. This is more an album of My Cat Is An Alien than anything else. The opening track let you listen to regular Marclay style with some cello scratch ending on a pet. Marclay as ever ! Then you have an hour of psychedelic of today, mix of haunting guitars, loops from another time or larsen obsessions. Will you take a few more guitars? Reply Notify me Helpful.

On the festivals’s closing day Italian minimalist percussionist Andrea Belfi, Korean cello improvisor Okkyung Lee, Canadian ritual ambient master Kara-Lis Coverdale, and legendary Italian cultic duo My Cat Is An Alien will perform at Trafó. Over the years Andrea Belfi has built a sound-world that artfully combines a modest drum set-up with an equally concise electronics component. Okkyung Lee, a New York-based artist and South Korea native, has created a body of work blurring genre boundaries through collaborations and compositions while pushing the limitation of contemporary cello performance techniques. Her music draws from noise and extended techniques, jazz, Western classical, and Korean traditional and popular music.
