The Constellation Audio Inspiration INTEGRATED . is the newest member of Constellation Audio's most affordable Inspiration Series, and joins its preamplifier and amplifier line-mates in delivering the performance that is expected from Constellation Audio at a more affordable price. It's remarkable how much of the technology from the Altair II and Performance series Virgo II preamplifiers is preserved in the Inspiration PREAMP . The core audio circuits are the same. The power supply retains its triple-transformer design.
Like other Constellation amplifiers, the Inspiration Stereo . is built around single-ended, 125W MOSFET-based modules comprising discrete components. Identical multiples of this circuit are combined to scale up from the Stereo . 's 200Wpc to the . kW of Constellation's flagship amp, the Reference Hercules II Mono (both outputs specified into 8 ohms). The exterior of the Inspiration Stereo . exudes simplicity and purity of form, its rear-panel components are rugged and of high quality, and its internal build quality is superb. Setup With my reference Quad ESL-989 speakers at the repair shop-they were damaged during their journey across the US in an Atlas moving van-I placed one Revel Ultima Salon2 speaker to either side of my equipment rack.
The Stereo . and Mono . largely retain the midrange and treble refinement of the Centaur while giving the presentation a more muscular quality. It isn’t just power music that benefits; even on a record like Duke Ellington’s Duke’s Big Four the Inspiration’s fuller bass better conveys the swing and drive of this terrific band. Incidentally, the circuit changes that improved the bass were developed for the new Hercules II, and have been incorporated first into the Inspiration amplifiers. You’d still get the essential quality of Constellation electronics, which as I mentioned earlier is an extraordinary transparency, high resolution, gorgeous tone color, and tremendous soundstage dimensionality. The differences in sound between Performance and Inspiration are more quantitative rather than qualitative.
Constellation had the benefit of emerging in a late-’90s, when the internet was starting to make it easier for unsung Canadian artists and labels to spread the word abroad. After parlaying the endorsements of Michael Stipe, Madonna, and various alterna-celebs into a brief major-label stint in the mid-’90s, Athens, Ga. troubadour Vic Chesnutt found a more welcoming home on Constellation in the late 2000s.
The CD features a new stereo album mix by Steven Wilson, the studio version of Clap and an extended version of A Venture. The blu-ray features: . PCM Surround Sound and High Resolution Stereo mixes (24bit 96khz). the original album mix in a hi-res flat transfer from the original stereo master tape source (24bit/192khz). The songs were also punchy enough to be performed live, the six tracks on the original album (there are various extended cuts and live versions here) showcasing the members’ individual skills – notably new boy Steve Howe – as well as their ability to mesh superbly. Good tunes, too, or rather micro-melodies: The Yes Album features four lengthy, multipartite suites.
Introduction to Metaphysics" (French: "Introduction à la Métaphysique") is a 1903 essay about the concept of reality by Henri Bergson. For Bergson, reality occurs not in a series of discrete states but as a process similar to that described by process philosophy or the Greek philosopher Heraclitus.
Constellation is a digital approach to controlling reverberation time, early reflections, and other key ingredients vital to the sonic clarity, warmth, and resonance of a space. One powerful package.
