The Four Tops are an American Motown musical quartet, whose repertoire has included doo-wop, jazz, soul music, RnB, disco, adult contemporary, showtunes, and even psychedelic rock. Founded in Detroit, Michigan as The Four Aims, lead singer Levi Stubbs and group mates Abdul "Duke" Fakir, Renaldo "Obie" Benson, and Lawrence Payton remained together for over four decades, finally forced to endure a lineup change when Payton died in 1997.

On Top is the third studio album recorded by the Four Tops, issued by Motown Records in July 1966. It reached on the US Billboard 200 chart and in the UK. It contains two singles: "Loving You Is Sweeter Than Ever" and "Shake Me, Wake Me (When It's Over)". The second half of the album consists of cover songs. Renaldo Benson – vocals. Abdul Fakir – vocals. Lawrence Payton – keyboards, vocals. Levi Stubbs – vocals. The Andantes - vocals. On Top at MTV, with lyrics.

The Ultimate Collection (Four Tops album). The Ultimate Collection is a compact disc by The Four Tops, released on Motown Records, catalogue 314530825-2, in October 1997. It is a collection of singles comprising many of the group's greatest hits, with liner notes written by Stu Hackel. The disc contains all but three of the Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 enjoyed by the Four Tops and released on the Motown Records imprint.
